I love the way you rendered the can! Im excited to see how it progresses! One thing to keep in mind though would be your light source and how it effects the piece, but great job so far!
The can was a great addition. My issue is with the bird. I'm not quite understanding the line within the bird and the fill that you put in. Also make sure your light source is even throughout. I'm interested in what you will do with the environment of the piece. Right now I wish the lines of the environment were not running through the bird and the can though, but I have a good feeling you're working on that.
Looks great! Adding the can really ties in the idea of the can opener. I'm a little confused by the line within the bird. It doesn't quite match the contouring lines in the beak since there is more value in the body. But other than that, I think it's coming along great! Excited to see where it goes!
The line work on this bird is great! But I think they way you colored everything is a little wonky because it looks like the bird and the can are colored in a different style. But your concept is REALLY punny and awesome and I like the direction you're going with it
Looking nice so far! The texture on the bird doesn't quite fit the rest of the picture though, maybe you could alter that a bit and make it simpler? Otherwise, it's coming along nicely!
I like the tracing line style of the bird and can opener. I just don't think it's connecting to the style of the can. I think it would be nice if you drew the can to connect the style. Also, I think the environment is confusing. I know you're still working on it, I'm just curious what it's going to be. A kitchen would be nice or something. The directional lines of the background are almost too distracting compared to the bird. Maybe find a way to balance them together more.
This looks amazing! The concept is working really well so far. I remember hearing discussion with having open cans that contain food for the toucan. That would definitely add repetition but also build your concept by further connecting the two. So far, everything is coming along great and is easy to read.
I like what you have vectored so far. The bird and can opener go so well together. I'm kinda lost on what you are trying to do with the background. Maybe make the background full of name brand cans that the birds has opened?
looking good. It would be cool to see the gradients that you been have putting in to the body of the bird in to the head so that they are morphing in to each other even more. l glade you put the can under help the concept and idea.
WOW! This is incredible!! The addition of the can helps a great deal. But the toucan is top notch on its own. The transition between the two is so good! I think making a natural land background with tons of can around him would be neat! Awesome job!
You have the image still turned on, but i think it is looking good with what you have so far. Transition is working much better. Nice job on the head. Is a can of worms going to find its way into this image?

ReplyDeleteLooks really good. I would make the "head", where the eye is, metallic. Going as far as using the values from the bird itself.
ReplyDeleteI would also add a second can, open and laying on its side.
As it is now, I can see this in a somehow poster/ad format, with minimal background, but I am looking forward to see how what you will do.
